Joy Dehaini

Joy was admitted to practice in 2022 and joined the team at Resolve Conflict in 2023.

Joy has focused her professional legal experience in the specialised area of family law since 2021. During her tertiary education, Joy volunteered at the Deakin Family Law Clinic where she provided paralegal support and developed a sound understanding of family law. Her experience of the application of the law and the connections she established with her clients sparked her keen interest in the family law jurisdiction.

Joy gained further experience as a Legal Assistant at a boutique family law firm, assisting her colleagues in an array of matters, including complex parenting and international financial disputes. Upon completion of her professional admission qualifications, she practised as a Lawyer before joining the Federal Circuit and Family Court of Australia as Deputy Associate to a Judge in Division 2 of the Court. As Deputy Associate, Joy was exposed to an array of matters and gained valuable knowledge of Court processes.

Joy understands the sensitive nature of family law and assists her clients in a pragmatic and resolution-focused manner.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Laws from Deakin University
• Graduate Diploma in Legal Practice at College of Law

Interests

Outside of the law, Joy is a massive foodie and enjoys dining out with friends and family as well as her dog, Hercules.
